[¶0] As soon as the card is laid into the stack, immediately fill out the next card; first of all write the date, obligatorily also the day, the surname.

[¶1] The card is always with you: you work — it is on the table or the shelf; you walk, you ride — it is in the pocket.

[¶2] If the matter [дело: the thing, the business] goes well with the marks of half-hours, risk marking the quarters of an hour.

[¶3] And if there is no printed card — then how?

[¶4] Remember: every paper in squares [squared paper] — [is] a card. Give in it a place to the ordinal number, the letter [index letter], the articles [items] of time — and the card is ready.

[¶5] If there is no squared paper — rule it.

[¶6] You can also do thus — rule the card in the form of a transparent [транспарант: a ruled guide-sheet], fasten it to cardboard, lay white paper over it and fill that in as a card.

[¶7] But remember further: keep [conduct] the card of one size: it will be easier to work over [обработать: process].

[¶8] YOUTH! YOU MUST NOT GAPE, YOU MUST EVERYWHERE BE IN TIME

[¶9] TO ACCOUNT FOR TIME — MEANS TO LIVE LONGER
