[¶0] 65. However, the task of the transfer of mass production into flow-lines stands unrelentingly [does not retreat]. Flow-lines in themselves so order production, are so easily planned, that as one of the conclusions of the Stakhanovite movement there must be posed, as the immediate [next-in-turn] task — the transfer onto flows of the principal blank-making [stock-preparation] and machine shops.

> Russian: 65.

[¶1] 66. The arrangement of heterogeneous equipment in a flow, with diverse technological processes and short-duration operations, as if does not create the possibility of the compaction [уплотнение: also densification, intensification] of labour along the front of machine-tools. However, the work of the Stakhanovites at the CIT factory gives graphic [visual] proofs that this problem is resolvable.

> Russian: 66.

[¶2] 67. In attempts at the compaction of flow-works (work on several heterogeneous machine-tools in a flow) it is especially important to install [establish] the sameness of Installation [set-up] times, which will give the possibility even on machine-tools with short-duration and differing operations to carry out compaction along a broad front on the basis of a special Installation schedule [graph].

> Russian: 67.

[¶3] _Instrument Shop_

> Russian: _Инструментальный цех_

[¶4] 68. Workplaces in instrument shops, depending upon the quantity of the batches of output being manufactured, are subordinated either to the radial or to the linear principle of organisation. However, at the present time attention must be directed both towards the differentiation of operations in the large-series manufacture of output, and towards the especially careful construction [arrangement] of the workplaces of workers of high qualification on integral, undismembered [not broken-down] works.

> Russian: 68.

[¶5] 69. In the organisation of mass instrument production, workplaces must differ in nothing from the workplaces in the principal shops.

> Russian: 69.

[¶6] _Repair Shops_

> Russian: _

[¶7] 70. Repair shops, in the organisation of workplaces, must follow the culture of two shops: the instrument shop and the assembly shop, with an inclination towards the individualisation of workplaces. However, the dominance of preventive [forewarning] repair must decisively bring the organisation of the repair shop closer to the principal shops (the manufacture of parts) and to the assembly-unit [sub-assembly] ones.

> Russian: 70.
