[¶0] A Psalm of David

[¶1] 1 Ascribe to Jehovah: ye sons of the mighty — Ascribe to Jehovah glory and strength.

[¶2] 2 Ascribe to Jehovah the glory of his name; Worship before Jehovah in the brightness of his sanctuary.

[¶3] 3 The voice of Jehovah is upon the waters; The God of glory thundereth; Jehovah is upon the waters great.

[¶4] 4 The voice of Jehovah is in strength, The voice of Jehovah is in majesty.

[¶5] 5 The voice of Jehovah breaketh the cedars; Break, I say, doth Jehovah the cedars of Lebanon.

[¶6] 6 And he maketh Lebanon to leap like a calf, And Sirion like the son of the unicorns.

[¶7] 7 The voice of Jehovah striketh out flames of fire.

[¶8] 8 The voice of Jehovah maketh the desert to tremble. Jehovah maketh to tremble the desert of Kadesh.

[¶9] 9 The voice of Jehovah maketh the hinds to bring forth, And discovereth the forests, And all meanwhile in his temple speak his praise.

[¶10] 10 Jehovah over the flood presideth, Preside, I say, doth Jehovah [as] King for ever.

[¶11] 11 Jehovah strength to his people will give; Jehovah will bless his people with peace.
