[¶1] At Sāvatthī.

> Pali: Sāvatthinidānaṁ.

[¶2] > Pali: Tatra kho …pe…

[¶3] “Mendicants, all is liable to be reborn. And what is the all that is liable to be reborn? The eye, sights, eye consciousness, and eye contact are liable to be reborn. And the pleasant, painful, or neutral feeling that arises dependent on eye contact is also liable to be reborn.

> Pali: “sabbaṁ, bhikkhave, jātidhammaṁ. Kiñca, bhikkhave, sabbaṁ jātidhammaṁ? Cakkhu, bhikkhave, jātidhammaṁ. Rūpā … cakkhuviññāṇaṁ … cakkhusamphasso jātidhammo. Yampidaṁ cakkhusamphassapaccayā uppajjati vedayitaṁ sukhaṁ vā dukkhaṁ vā adukkhamasukhaṁ vā tampi jātidhammaṁ …pe…

[¶4] The ear … nose … tongue … body … The mind, ideas, mind consciousness, and mind contact are liable to be reborn. And the pleasant, painful, or neutral feeling that arises dependent on mind contact is also liable to be reborn.

> Pali: jivhā … rasā … jivhāviññāṇaṁ … jivhāsamphasso … yampidaṁ jivhāsamphassapaccayā uppajjati vedayitaṁ sukhaṁ vā dukkhaṁ vā adukkhamasukhaṁ vā tampi jātidhammaṁ. Kāyo …pe… mano jātidhammo, dhammā jātidhammā, manoviññāṇaṁ jātidhammaṁ, manosamphasso jātidhammo. Yampidaṁ manosamphassapaccayā uppajjati vedayitaṁ sukhaṁ vā dukkhaṁ vā adukkhamasukhaṁ vā tampi jātidhammaṁ.

[¶5] Seeing this a learned noble disciple grows disillusioned … They understand: ‘… there is nothing further for this place.’”

> Pali: Evaṁ passaṁ, bhikkhave, sutavā ariyasāvako cakkhusmimpi nibbindati, rūpesupi … cakkhuviññāṇepi … cakkhusamphassepi …pe… nāparaṁ itthattāyāti pajānātī”ti.
