[¶0] ON SIMONY (SIX ARTICLES)

[¶1] We must now consider simony, under which head there are six points of inquiry:

[¶2] (1) What is simony?

[¶3] (2) Whether it is lawful to accept money for the sacraments?

[¶4] (3) Whether it is lawful to accept money for spiritual actions?

[¶5] (4) Whether it is lawful to sell things connected with spirituals?

[¶6] (5) Whether real remuneration alone makes a man guilty of simony, or also oral remuneration or remuneration by service?

[¶7] (6) Of the punishment of simony.
